Applying for the MA Program

Qualifications

Applicants must have: (a) a bachelor’s degree, graduate diploma, or graduate certificate (except graduates-to-be) at a domestic or overseas institution approved by the Ministry of Education, or (b) an equivalent degree which meets the MA program admission requirements. We do not accept applicants who have “exceptional achievements in their professional field,” which conforms to Article 7 of Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Educational Levels for University Admission.

Criteria and Required Documents

I. Document Examination (50%)

Please upload the following documents in sequential order:

1. Official cumulative transcript (applicants with equivalent degrees may use highest education level transcripts instead).

2. Certification of GPA

3. Autobiography (including personal CV)

4. Statement of purpose

II. Interview (50%)

Score Calculation

Examination score*50% + Interview score*50% (100 maximum for each section).

Preference will be given to applicants with the highest total score. If there are applicants with the same total score, preference will be given to those with a higher interview score.

Stage One: Written Test (60%)

1. Social Analysis30%

2. Social Studies30%

※Score calculation = Social Analysis + Social Studies

※Subjects with the mark“” indicate that examinees are allowed to use calculators regardless of brand or functionality. Subjects with the mark “” indicate that examinees are not allowed to use calculators.

※Questions for the written test may be partially or completely answered in English.

Stage Two: Interview (40)
Candidates with the highest score in Stage One are given preference. There will be 9 candidates at mostadvancing to Stage Two (the admission quota*3).

Score Calculation

(Social Analysis score + Social Studies score)/2*60% + Interview score*40%

Preference will be given to applicants with the highest total score. If there are applicants with the same total score, preference will be given to those with a higher interview score.
